FreeCell Solitaire — Play Free Online

Play FreeCell Solitaire online free with all 52 cards visible from the start. Use four free cells and eight tableau columns to plan your moves. No registration is required, and progress is saved on this device.

How to play FreeCell Solitaire

  1. All 52 cards are dealt face up across eight tableau columns. Four free cells provide temporary storage, with one card allowed in each cell.
  2. Build tableau columns downward in alternating colors. For example, a red Queen can go onto a black King.
  3. Move an exposed card to an empty free cell, a legal tableau destination or its matching foundation. An empty column accepts any card.
  4. You may move a descending alternating-color sequence when enough free cells and empty columns are available to rearrange its cards legally.
  5. Build each foundation upward by suit, from Ace through King. Transfer all 52 cards to the four foundations to win.

Game modes

FreeCell uses the standard four-free-cell layout. Choose New game for another random deal or choose a date in the daily challenge calendar.

Tips for your next game

Keep free cells available and work toward an empty tableau column. Both increase your ability to reorganize long sequences. Study blocked Aces and low cards before filling temporary spaces.

Frequently asked questions

How many cards can I move at once in FreeCell?

The maximum is (empty free cells + 1) multiplied by 2 to the power of the number of usable empty columns. An empty destination column is excluded from that count. The cards must also form a legal sequence.

Does MonkeyAce use Microsoft FreeCell deal numbers?

No. MonkeyAce uses its own deals; its random games and daily challenges do not claim compatibility with Microsoft deal numbers.
